2026 PRE-SEASON SOFTBALL CLINICS

Spring 2026 Pre-Season Softball Clinics

SWLL Pre-Season Softball Clinics will be held at the CKM Softball Academy located at 237 Oak Street (Units C&D), Glastonbury CT.

Players must be registered for the Spring 26 Season to be eligible to participate.

Players must be LLI Softball Age 7-13 (birth years to 2012-2018) to be eligible to participate.

Sunday Clinics 2/15/26 - 3/15/26; five 1-hour clinics per Session:

Session 1 will be focused on Pitching (players will be split into ‘Beginner’ and ‘Advanced/Experienced’ groups during the clinic)
Sessions 2 & 3 will be focused on Overall Softball Skills Development (throwing, fielding, hitting mechanics + fitness/conditioning)

Session 1 – Pitching (All Ages)

5:00 – 6:00pm

Beginner Group - This session is intended for pitchers of all ages who have limited (less than 10 innings) or no experience pitching in game situations. Max group size will be approximately 10 to 14 players.

Introduction to Pitching Motion
Proper Grip & Arm Circle
Footwork & Balance

Advanced/Experienced Group - This session is intended for pitchers of all ages who have long-term interest and commitment to the pitching position; players should have at least 10 innings of game experience. Max group size will be 6 to 8 pitchers (ideally 1 coach per 2-3 pitchers)

Refinement/development of Pitching Motion
Repeatability & Accuracy
Building More Velocity
Introduction to Changeups (for those ready)
Caring & recovery for arm/shoulder/body

Pitching Clinics are Free to all SWLL 2026 Registered Softball Players

Session 2 – Minors (LLI Softball Ages 7 - 10)

6:15 – 7:15pm

This session is intended for players primarily at the Minor AA/AAA level. Ten-year-olds planning to play AAA this Spring should join this session. 11-inch balls will be used.

Session 3 – Majors/Juniors (LLI Softball Ages 10 - 13)

7:30 – 8:30pm

This session is intended for players primarily at the Majors/Juniors level. Ten-year-olds planning to be evaluated for Majors this Spring should join this session. 12-inch balls will be used.
